Abstract EN

The researcher aims to identify the students’ evaluation of the quality of educational services in the universities of Thamar (Public University) and Al- Hikma (Private University) that are located in the Yemeni City: Dhamar.

The evaluation applies SERVPERF measurement of service quality.

The problem of the study is based on two major questions: the first is meant to identify the students’ evaluation of the educational services in the two universities under study, and the second investigates whether the students’ responses show statistically significant differences that add to the variable of the university type (Public or Private) in addition to the other demographic variables.

This research employs the descriptive analytical approach.

The target number of the students is (584 students: males and females).

The most important outcomes of the study is that evaluation of the quality of the educational service in both universities is midrange either in the measurement as a whole or in each dimension individually except the dimension of Responsiveness, which appears to be poor.

The outcomes also show that there are statistically significant differences in the responses of the targeted sample due to the sex variable, type of college, respondent’s age, whereas the statistically significant differences disappear in the variables of secondary school certificate and the income rate, accordingly.
