Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying one of the dangerous phenomen on facing the operating banks in Algeria which is the bad loans and at understanding the concept of bad loans which are usually called nonperforming loans and defining main factors which contribute to the developpement and growth of the non-performing loans problem from the point of view of related parties : lending banks,borrowers.

The study found a range of recommendations which, if applied,could alleviate this problem.
