Abstract EN
In the introduction to his research, the author stresses the importance of this topic.
Then, he chooses a method and tries to be committed to it all through his research on areas of disagreement on Qur'anic orthography between Mashreq and Maghreb scholars.
In the preface, he mentions the importance of orthography and briefly introduces the two schools: the Mashreq and Maghreb schools, as well as the two copies of the Qur'an they use.
The researcher calls the Mashreq School "Imam Abu Dawood Traditional School" which confirms what imam Abu Dawood had not commented on, and he calls the Maghreb School "Imam Abu Dawood Revised School" which is committed to the revisions of some scholars of what imam Abu Dawood had not commented on.
The researcher pointed out that the agreement between Mashreq and Maghreb scholars on the orthography of their two respective copies of the Qur'an is about 89%.
Then, the researcher discusses areas of disagreement between the two schools, using about 220 disputed words that are previously mentioned in three main chapters, under (59) titles.
In the first topic, he identifies words whose orthography is different from what was stated by both Aldany and Abu Dwood, or either of them, which amounts to (147) words under (26) titles.
In the second topic, he identifies words whose orthography is different from what was mentioned by Imam Abu Alhasan Albalansi, and which are included among what Imam Abu Dawood had not commented on.
These are about (41) words under (28) titles.
In the third topic, he identifies words whose orthography is different from what all scholars agreed on.
They amount to (32) words under five titles.
With each title, he refers to the two schools.
He concludes his research work by saying: "Mashreq and Maqreb scholars, without exception, took part in conserving the most significant heritage of this immortal Ummah, Allah's Holy book which contains, indeed, endless miracles.
