Abstract EN

This research uses an analytical explication of part of verse (196) of surat Al-Baqarah.

This approach was chosen for several reasons: first, to explicate the verse and know its meaning; second, to know the most important exegetists’ opinions regarding this verse and the ruling of Hajj and ‘Umrah; third, to apply one of the exegetists approaches and explications of the Holy Quran.

The research is divided into five sections in addition to the introduction and conclusion.

The introduction is about reasons behind choosing the topic of the research, the proposal, and the methodology used.

The first section, divided into three parts, is about introducing the verse.

The first part is the name of the verse, showing that it is called Al-Mut‘ah verse and it is said to mean Mut'at Al nisa'a 1 -;the second part is about the coherence of the verse in relation to the preceding and following verses and shows that the three verses are strongly related; finally, the third part is about the reason and time of revelation of the verse which was revealed in Al-Hudaybiyah Umrah (6AH), and the reason behind its revelation was what happened to Ka‘b Ibn ‘ajrah, may Allah be pleased with him) The Second section, divided into three parts, is about the analytical exegesis of the verse.

The first part is about showing the meaning of the words included in the verse; the second part is about the analysis of syntactic relations among the words of the verse (declension); and the third part explains the prepositions and modes of recitation in the verse along with its directives.

The third section is about the general meaning of the verse.

The fourth section, divided into three parts, is about the rulings of the verse.

The first part is about the ruling of Hajj and ‘Umrah in two sub-parts: the first sub-part is about the ruling of Hajj and the second sub-part is about the ruling of ‘Umrah, indicating the dispute over their ruling among scholars, discussing each party’s evidence and giving preference to the opinion saying that Al ‘Umrah is obligated once in a lifetime-; the second part is about the intended meaning of "performing Hajj and Umrah" along with the dominant opinion.

The third part is about the virtues of Hajj and Umrah as evidenced by the Hadiths of the Prophet.

The fifth section is about the benefits and conclusions derived from the verse, which are about 17 that have been mentioned.

The conclusion is about the most important findings of the research.
