Abstract EN

This study investigates the level of core competencies and the degree of practicing transformational leadership in the public insurance companies in the state of Annaba ; as well as detecting the impact of the dimensions of transformational leadership in building core competencies ; besides verifying the impact of empowerment as an intermediate variable in the relationship between transformational leadership and core competencies.

The study reached a number of conclusions including the existence of a significant effect of the transformational leadership and intermediate variable (empowerment) in building of the core competencies.

The study recommended building the core competencies by focusing on staff development, helping them to share knowledge, in addition to focusing on allocating work and delegating authority to professionals in these companies.
