السياق و دوره في تحديد المعنى عند المفسرين و اللغوين : دراسة تطبيقية في تفسير الإمام الطبري

Abstract EN

The paper studies the role of the context in revealing the significances.

It aims at identifying the context according to the works written by interpreters and linguists in addition to reviewing traditional as well as modern works devoted to indicate the importance of the context in identifying the meaning in Quran and its relationship with the reasons of the decent of the Holly Quran.

The theoretical framework is limited to introduce the various types of context in details with applied study on the interpretation of al Imam al Tabary of particular verses from Quran.

The findings of the study prove that the importance of the context refers back to the early phase of Islam, stressing importance of full cognitive integration between the work of interpreters and linguists.

The study recommends further applied studies on the role of the context in identifying the meaning, importance of taking Quran’s privacy into consideration in addition to the role of the context in identifying the meaning in Sunni (Hadith) as well as necessity of benefiting from linguistics in approaching to the meaning of the Holy Quran.
