In his essay “The Image of the Civilized Other”, the Iraqi researcher ‘Amer ‘Abd Zayd Al-Wa’eli treats the issue of Western arrogance towards others and considers that the formation of Western centrality was not limited to the historical colonial experience in so-called outskirt countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, but that it was transformed into a concept which aims to reproduce the issue of dominance in new forms and mechanisms.

Le chercheur irakien Amer Abd-Zaïd AL-WAELI écrit un article intitulé: "L'image de l'autre civilisationnel".
Il traite la question de la supériorité occidentale vis-à-vis de l'Autre, et constate que la constitution de l'occidentalocentrisme ne s'est pas limitée à l'expérience historique coloniale dans les Etats/ périphéries en Afrique, Asie et Amérique latine, mais elle devient une notion qui tend à reproduire la thèse de la domination avec des formes et des mécanismes nouveaux.
