This paper aims to find out a mathematical model suitable for the Algerian environment, so as to classify Algerian economic enterprises into healthy companies and bankrupt ones, through a sample of 24 companies, half of them bankrupt and the other healthy.
We have adopted the Altman model given its proven efficiency in classifying American companies, and we tried to find out how far is it suitable to the Algerian economic environment.
The results were very satisfactory and showed that this model would be suitable for the Algerian environment.

La présente étude vise à trouver un modèle mathématique qui convient à l’environnement algérien, de sorte à permette la classification des entreprises économiques algériennes à des entreprises saines et d’autres défaillantes, et ce, à travers un échantillon d’études de 2 4 entreprises, dont la moitié et en faillite et l’autre saine.
Nous avons adopté le modèle d’Altman vu son efficacité prouvée dans la classification des entreprises américaines, et essayer de trouver à quel point il peut convenir à l’environnement économique algérien.
Les résultats étaient des plus satisfaisants et ont démontré que ce modèle conviendrait à l’environnement algérien.
