هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف رأي 1781 كويتي و84 أخصائياً اجتماعياً حول أهمية دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي في الكويت.
وقد تم إعداد وتقنين مقاييس مختلفة للتحقق من أهداف الدراسة.
وأشارت النتائج إلى أن الشباب صغار السن، وفي مرحلة الثانوية، ليس لديهم دراية براتب الأخصائي الاجتماعي.
ويرى الشباب أن الدور الأكثر أهمية للأخصائي الاجتماعي هو المشاركة في التوصيات واتخاذ القرارات، وأن المصادر التي اعتمدوا عليها في الحصول على معلومات حول الخدمة الاجتماعية كانت إيجابية، وتضمنت الكتب ووسائل الإعلام.
كما أن للأخصائي الاجتماعي دوراً مهماً في خدمة المجتمع وسعادة الأجيال ومواجهة جميع المشكلات الاجتماعية، باستثناء الفتن والإشاعات والإرهاب والتطرف الديني وانتشار الأمراض والأوبئة.
ويرى الأخصائيون الاجتماعيون أن الخدمات التي تقدمها المؤسسات تناسب التغيرات التي تحدت في المجتمع وأن دورهم إلى حد ما يسهم في تلبية احتياجات الشباب، وأنه من الضروري اعتماد رخصة الخدمة الاجتماعية لتحسين أدائهم في العمل.
وتساعد النتائج على التخطيط المستقبلي لتحسين رأي الشباب في الأخصائي الاجتماعي، وزيادة التواصل بينهم لحل المشكلات المختلفة.

Abstract EN
The study aimed to identify the opinion of 1781 youth and 84 social workers of the role of the social worker in Kuwait.
It prepared different scales.
It was found that the youth at a young age and high school was not familiar with social workers’ salary.
Youth reported that the most important role of the social worker was setting recommendations and a decision-making.
Their resources about the social work was positive and included books and media.
They reported that social worker had an important role in providng services, happiness of the youth, and solving social problems, except for rumors, terrorism and disease.
Social workers reported that the services offered were appropriate for the society as their role contributed to some extent to meet the needs of the Kuwaiti youth and the adaptation of social work’s liscene is important to improve their performance at work.
Future plans were set to enhance youth’s view of social worker and solve problems.
