Abstract EN

This study aims at reviewing the different techniques used in identifying the gifted and talented children, the general trends of the programs used in developing their abilities, the prominent techniques used in designing these programs, reaching a complete conception of an appropriate program for gifted and talented children in our community The problem of the study can be conceptualized in the following questions: 1- What are the most important techniques used in identifying the gifted and talented children? 2- What are the most prominent educational programs used for promoting the gifted and talented children? 3- What are the most important strategies used in designing educational programs for gifted and talented children in order to enhance their abilities? 4- What are the basic features of an educational program designed for enhancing the abilities of gifted and talented children in our community? These questions have been answered through reviewing the basic features of the methods used in identifying gifted and talented children, the general trends of the educational programs designed for developing and enhancing their abilities, in addition to the different strategies used in applying these programs.

Finally, a program for develop the gifted and talented children's abilities in the Arabic society has been proposed
