Most interested people in the Mediterranean history unanimously agree on the predominance of military conflicts between its peoples and the shrinking of peace space between its states.

Despite this, and following some meticulous historical cues, we can discover numerous peace and coexistence opportunities that linked the two Mediterranean shores, especially Morocco that underwent a busy commercial traffic.

The Moroccan ports were over-crowded with European traders, who were living in private institutions.

The central authority assumed their protection and facilitated their commercial transactions and religious practice.

It is this luminous and civilizational fact that we will try to shed light on in this article.
