Food security is one of the most important challenges facing the Arab countries at present, although the Arab world is full of natural and human resources, but it has not been able to achieve the increase in production targets to meet the increasing demand for food.

Thus, since the early 1950s, Arab countries have adopted a set of agricultural policies aimed at raising the efficiency of their agricultural sector to increase production and overcome the problems it faces, as well as reducing the bill of food imports and achieving food security.
