English Abstract

The scientific prosperity and advancements, that were achieved by the oasitic society of the Middle-Maghreb sphere (Algeria) during the middle ages and thereafter, have been transferred to the rest territories of the Sahara (the Great Desert) particularly the territory of Tuat, Ourglan (Ouargla) and Fedjij …etc.

The growing commercial, social and political ties between these territories and West Africa and South Sahara haveled to reciprocated journeys of Sheikhs, scientists and scholars and thereby creating new epistemological streams through which knowledge and sciences have been transferred.

The archeological evidence on these epistemological exchanges is the works of Algerian scientists and scholars which can be found on the library shelves of the Sahel countries like Niger and Mali.

This latter (Mali) keeps lot Algerian Manuscript especially in the cities of Timbuktu and Ségou.

The most important library in Ségou is Al-amriya library which contains over one thousand and seven hundreds manuscripts many of them belong to Algerian scientists (Tuats, Tlemceniens…etc).

These manuscripts also contain explanations and footnotes on Algerian works which motivated us to make an inventory of these manuscripts, categorize them and to show their true worth
