Abstract EN

This paper deals with satellites earth observation and their peaceful usages and how the competition between USA and former Soviet Union has shifted from space exploration field and launch of military and intelligence satellites to the launch of earth detection and observation satellites notably with the advent of new operators in the commercial field (Britain, Japan, India, China, South Africa and Europe).

Also, new actors have come in recently, among them many Arab countries such as; Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and United Arab Emirates, they are aware of the importance of satellite technologies in order to implement their plans and policies of development.

Besides, in this study, we have aborded the concept of satellite, in terms of types, capacities beaming and its various peaceful implementations
