English Abstract

There is no doubt that corruption is growing in all countries because of its direct negative impact on the development of societies and the reduction of their development.

It has also become apparent that there are social, economic and political aspects that need not be combated by the concerted efforts of the institutions of a single state.

Since 1996, international anti-corruption conventions have served to lift political commitments to combat corruption and have identified international standards and practices to address corruption.

On the other hand, the Iraqi legal legislation included a lot of laws that criminalize issues of administrative and financial corruption, including the Iraqi Penal Code No.

111 of 1969 amending and in the interest of the Iraqi legislator in the fight against corruption and the dissemination of a culture of integrity after 2003 was formed the Integrity Commission and the issuance of CPA orders dissolved in Iraq and the laws of money laundering and the law of inclusion and finally the law of the Integrity Commission for the purpose of finding an effective mechanism to combat corruption crimes and enshrine the principle of the rule of law in the fight against corruption and for the purpose of highlighting the mechanism of combating corruption and legal treatments developed by the legislator To combat corruption in harmony with the international conventions to which Iraq has joined, we dealt with this subject according to the following plan: The first topic / legal treatment to combat corruption in national legislation The second topic: Legal treatment of corruption in international conventions
