Abstract EN

This research deals with the two concepts of violence and forgiveness in the Qur'anic text to resolve the seeming clash between the texts through looking at the context of the verses and applying the principles of interpretation and taking into consideration the general principles of the Qur'an.

The research answers the question: 'Is it possible to use violence against atheists and polytheists even if they are peaceful?' After surveying the different opinions regarding this issue we concluded that it is possible for Muslims to coexist peacefully with the different sects if they didn't violate this principle.
