Abstract EN

The present paper aims to help the reader understand the accurate meaning of Q11:107-108 with regards to the exception phrase (except what your Lord should will) which has occurred when reference is made to the believers and the disbelievers.

This study is divided into five sections: The first is a brief account of the semantically ambiguous statements in the Qur'an, the second is about the exception case as an exegetical tool, the third is about the Muslim's belief in the garden and the fire which also accounts for whether the garden and the fire are eternal with reference to the views of different scholars, the fourth is an account of Q11, and the fifth is a study of the two ayahs 107 and 109 of Q11.

The paper provides a conclusion and recommendations.
