This study analyses the novel entitled "El Waram" by the novelist Mohamed Sari through the notion of space.

First, we shall define the term "notion of space" to highlight the confusion concerning this problem in the Arabic criticism.

Second, we shall analyze the novel taking into consideration the "open space" and the ""close space" to sort out the elements of imaginary.
