Abstract EN

This research aimed at employing the Data envelopment analysis method in assessing the internal efficiency of the Hassiba Ben Bouali university faculties.

The number teaching staff, number of registred graduation and the number of registred post graduation were used as inputs, and the numbers of graduates, and post graduates used as outputs.

It was found that the number of faculties with maximum efficiency (100%) was 2 in the season 2013-2014 and 4 in the season 2014-2015; and the percentage of efficiency was determined for each inefficient faculté, together with the extent of inputs that could be reduced and the extent of outputs that could be increased, for each of the inefficient faculties bench-marking provinces were defined.
