Reasons and motives that led Arabs before Islam to practice infanticide were numerous.

This gave historians and scholars a space to look for the real references of these motives other than the common and apparent reasons like the economic reasons as poverty and the social ones like fear of captivation and men's dominance over them.

As we searched the roots of this phenomenon among Arabs before Islam and what was prevailing among other nations, we realized that religious factors were the strongest to impact the prevalence of this phenomenon in comparison with the sacraments that were sacrificed to the gods.
