Abstract EN

This article treat an important issue which is the relationship between the uses of social networking sites and their impact on the values of Algerian society.

It attempts to highlight some of the values of the Algerian culture which have been reinforced by the use of new media applications by individuals.

Of Western values because of the strength of media contents in terms of ideas, images, output and effects and the accuracy of creativity and innovation.

Among the values that have been strengthened in Algerian society are the value of belonging, the link of the family, the brotherhood and the solidarity.

The values that have been changed by social networking sites are individuality, poor communication and social cohesion, reduced relations between intellectuals, weakening of the value of Arabic, conflict of values and contradictions, violence and gender.

Time and violation of the privacy of others, excessive physical aspects and neglect of spiritual aspects, fascination with Western lifestyle and tradition in the style of dress, eating and celebrations.
