Abstract EN

The present study deals with the marital statuses of the population in Al- Qurna district for the period 1997-2016.

First, the research addresses the four marital statuses celibacy, marriage, divorce, and widowhood along with providing a brief discussion of the four mentioned conditions.

Second, the research handles the geographical distribution of the marital statuses in the district on the general level in one side and on the administrative and environmental level on the other for the period 1997- 2016.

Additionally, it focuses on the reasons that led to increase or decrease the marital statuses in the specified period.

Lastly, the research explains the most important outcomes of the study.
