Because the novel is a “factual narrative narration that often revolves around characters involved in an event”, it was necessary to return to it to document the reality experienced by the self in the Arab region during the Arab Spring, specifically, the image of the hero as seen by the Syrian novelist author of “The Last Shadow Dance”.

It seemed to me that this novel did not know a single hero as there were many voices and tales and varied desires.

And the personality was not a classic character with good virtues or has a clear project with lofty goals striving to achieve them and succeed in its quest, but was overwhelmed and distorted and confused and lost and faltering in most of its endeavors, alienated from its self and authenticity, living double standard that caused it many predicaments, and made it live death and silent settlement, unable to aware its reality and understand its non-originality, therefore, it looked like "the shadow of another shadow" ...

Sex was the focus of its life and interests, in which it tried to break the power of the other, all for nothing, but for void and emptiness… Thus, this Syrian novel written in a time called the "Arab Spring," looked like, as “Lukacz” saw it, "the epic of a world without gods" without any heroes, without these “free personalities opposed to the decline of man, adhering to the ideal values”.

This novel is the novel of no-hero and no-heroism ...

a novel plunging into the deformities of humans in which the place exacerbates in its aggravation ...

it is the story of the body that pulls the owner down, and keeps him prisoner of its whirlpool ...
