A few companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) including the honorable companion Abdulla Ibn Masood were known to be most knowledgeable in teaching the recitation of the Quran and its exegesis.
Abdulla Ibn Masood was very close to the Prophet and faithfully followed the Prophet’s guidelines and instructions in learning the vocabulary of the Quran and its exegesis, hence he was capable of establishing his own approaches in these two areas.
This study falls into four sections: A preface, an introduction, discussion of Abdulla Ibn Masood’s two approaches in teaching the recitation of the Quran and its exegesis and a conclusion.
It demonstrates clearly that Ibn Masood was truly a unique religious scholar in each of these two fields
