Abstract EN

The study aimed at recognizing the degree of No-Mobile-Phone Phobia (nomophobia) spread among the students of Tafila Technical University.

The sample consisted of (313) male and female students chosen by a randomly clustered sample.

An instrument was prepared by the researchers for the purpose of the study.

validity and reliability were checked.

means, standard deviations, ANOVA, and chi square were used for answering the questions of the study.

The results indicated that loneliness and depression were the most symptoms appeard on individuals when they are far from their cellphones.

The results also indicated that (28.8%) from the individuals of the sample were afflicted with nomophobia, and about (70.2%) are about to be afflicted with nomophobia.

There were no statistically significant differences on the level of nomophobia attributed to the variables of college and academic Year, and interaction between them as well.

The results showed that there is statistically significant differences between the study the afflicted with nomophobia and the duration of possessing a cellphone.

The study recommended that students should be aware of nomophobia and diagnostic Instrument For nomophobia should be available
