This article poses the problem of food security that have emerged in many countries of the world, including Algeria, which has adopted several policies to reduce this problem, through the financing of the agricultural sector, which is considered the most important sector for providing food and self-sufficiency.

Therefore, the agricultural sector has been financed through the " Loan Rafik ", which falls within the short-term financing, where this funding was adopted in October 2008.

This article addresses the issue of food security and agricultural financing, the reality of food security in Algeria, and finally, the " Loan Rafik " as a mechanism to promote, develop and diversify the agricultural sector products to achieve food security
