We have attempted in this paper, through a critical analytic approach to find out the criteria of the strategy used in the selection of intermediary texts employed to teach and learn morphology in the first year middle school textbook.We tried also to count the frequency of the target morphological items in the selected texts.
The analysis is performed on the basis of examining the nature of topics and the ideas conveyed in such texts.

Nous avons essayé dans le présent article, à travers une approche autant analytique que critique; de dévoilerles normes de la stratégie suivie dans lasélection des textes intermédiaires exploités dansl’enseignement/apprentissage de la morphologie dans le manuel de première année moyenne, en comptant le pourcentage des unités morphologiques (sujet d’enseignment) dont ils disposes, après avoir examiné les sujets et les idées traités dans ces textes.
