The study problem: the problem with the study in the difficulty of developing decision-making skills among the pupils of the second preparatory using the traditional method in teaching social studies (History).

Method and procedures: to achieve the aims of the study, the researcher prepared a list of some of the decision- making skills necessary for students in second grade secondary and a teacher’s guide for the teaching of the unit selected in accordance with the strategy of the six thinking hats, a book of the pupil and a test of decision- making skills.

Results of the study: the study found that the use of strategy six thinking hats have an impact on the development of some skills take Alaqrarlda Second Prep, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the scores of students in the control sample and experimental sample to test the decision- making skills to the study group is large.
