Abstract EN
The aim of the current study was to identify the psychological stress of the female students of the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Jordan who are enrolled in the football course for the first and second semester of the academic year (2016 / 2017) according to high school and the academic year variables.
The sample consisted of 90 students.
The researcher used the descriptive approach in its survey form and designed a questionnaire as a tool for data collection.
The questionnaire included 40 items distributed into two themes : internal psychological stress (self-stress) and external psychological stress.
After collecting the data, the were processed statistically by using Statistical Package for Social Science "SPSS".
The results of the study indicated that there was a moderate psychological stress.
The results also indicated that there was no significant differences in psychological stress attributed to the general secondary education variable (Scientific and Literature).
Finally, the results showed that, first year female students had higher self-stress and external stress compared to the second and third year students (P < 0.05).
In light of these results, the researcher recommends to conduct further studies on the causes of stress in the group games, manage it and lowering it.
Secondly, direct the female students who have less experience and guide them.
Finally, to pay attention to the psychological preparation of female students in the first academic year.
