This study entitled "Al-Ishfaq (Awe) and its Derivatives and its Synonyms in the Holy Quran" discusses the meanings of the word Al-Ishfaq and its derivatives and synonyms in a Quranic context such as fear awe anxiety and fright as a result of caution from Allah’s anger and torment Al-Ishfaq is found both in the present life and in the Hereafter.

If it is in the present life it is considered as a good quality because it will be a reason for the satisfaction of Allah and entering paradise but if it in the Hereafter it is the attribute of the people of hell when they are tormented and when remorse does not benefit them Types of Al-Ishfaq are A.

The non-living things caution which is their inability to bear Amanah If people fear the torment of Allah in this world it will be beneficial to both individuals and society such as a) Observing Allah at all times conditions works and places b) Immunizing the individual and society from falling into what God has forbidden especially the major sins c) The safety from the torment of Allah and entering Paradise
