Abstract EN

This study aims to examine first-hand the challenges faced by the small and medium enterprises in the Islamic International Arab Bank and to identify impact of challenges faced by such small and medium enterprises on their development role, a questionnaire was created to collect data.

The study sample consisted of (317) clients.

The results showed that the challenges faced by the small and medium enterprises fall in general within the mid-level.

And the development role of the enterprises fell in the high level.

The findings also showed that the impact of the challenges faced by the small and medium enterprises in general accounts for (17.8%) on the development role of such enterprises and that the most significant challenges affecting the development role of these enterprises are those challenges faced by the finance institutions, followed by challenges within the enterprise while no impact of challenges among clients on the development role of the enterprises
