Abstract EN

Journalistic discourse in Arabic includes semantic and linguistic components that have a social and cultural function, aiming of influencing the reader, guiding his opinion through specific journalistic types, such as: news, article, report, investigative report, and column.

And the relationship between the Arabic language and journalism has become a worthy phenomenon for linguistic analysis: first for the spread of the Arabic language press.

Second, the prevalence of linguistic errors in the journalistic discourse.

Although the circulation of the term "linguistic analysis in the journalistic discourse", and spread as a term in many media studies and researches, but still there is scarcity in the Arab researches and studies in this field.

This study comes to dealing with the subject of linguistic analysis in the journalistic discourse as a specific media field.

And it seeks to answer the main question: What are linguistic methods analysis in the journalistic discourse? And It aims to: (1) framing linguistic analysis in the journalistic discourse theoretically.

(2) The development of knowledge and skills of analysts in this field.

This study is one of the basic studies, and has concluded that linguistic analysis can reveal: (1) grammatical and morphological correctness.

(2) stylistic accuracy and rhetoric.

(3) The role and impact of language in social reality.
