Abstract EN

This study intended at identifying identity crisis statues among the students of Dong-This la and Alimam Almahdi universities and examine the deferences which due to college, gender, & class with identity crisis statues.

The descriptive method was used, sample selected by stratified method subjects were (820) students from the colleges of medicine (223), shariah & law (261), and Arts (336) from the two universities, (417) males, & (403) females; (388) from Dongla uni-versity, & (432) from Alimam Almahdi university.

Tool of the study was identity statues scale which prepared by Adams, Tishi, & Fitsh (1979) and translated and adapted by Mohammed Alsayed Abdelrahman (1998).

Data were analyzed by using the following statistical tests: one sample T-test, independent sample T – test, one-way analysis of vari-ance (ANOVA), scheffe test, & Bonferroni test.

The results of this study were : - Students from the two universities have positive identity statues.

- There were significant differences between the students of three colleges in these statues: Identity Foreclosed, Identity Moratorium, and Identity Defused.

- There were no significant differences according to student gender.

- There were significant differences according to student class in the statues of : Iden- Achieve, Identity Moratorium, and Identity Defused.
