Abstract EN

This study aimed to clarifying the role of economic intelligence contribution to support of countries and institutions competitiveness, as well as dissecting the reality of practice economic intelligence in Algeria.

For this reason, the study focused on the descriptive analytical and historical method.

The study concluded such results among them: significant lateness and a clear weakness in the exercise of economic intelligence in Algeria.

The study suggested a number of recommendations including: firstly, Work on creating an advanced data bank and activate the existing data bases about this subject.

Secondly, benefit from the successful experiences of some developed countries in the field of economic intelligence.
