Abstract EN

Recent years have witnessed rising interest towards performance measurement and control systems .

Total quality management (TQM) and balanced scorecard (BSC) are management philosophies that have been widely discussed only in academic word but also business word.

The aim of this paper to clarification the role of balanced scorecard in evaluating the performance of total quality management from five perspectives (financial, customers , innovative and learning , internal business processes , and social responsibility) using the balanced scorecard technique .

We conducted a quantitative study with 46 Algerian companies of different sizes .

The results confirm that the use of BSC Increases strategic performance.
