Abstract EN
The United Arab Emirates is one of the countries that relied on oil wealth to build and improve its economy.
At the same time, the UAE has worked in its long-term policy to invest in all possible sectors that give it a safe space of movement rather than absolute dependence on one sector.
In this context, this study was designed to analyze the UAE economy data during the period 2011-2015, to determine the UAE's extent achieving of the objectives for diversification of its economy.
The study concluded that the UAE's experience in diversifying sources of income is remarkably successful, where its development and diversification policy has reached advanced (high) rates. It is observed that the percentage of the oil sector's contribution has been reduced to 30% in exchange for the strong contribution of other sectors to the 70% in the UAE economy.
This proves the effectiveness of this experience and the possibility of controlling the impact of the oil sector on the economy as a whole.
