Abstract EN

As a result of the spread of financial and administrative corruption, which led to the bankruptcy of many international institutions, the search for a mechanism that contributes to the reduction of these practices has increased and corporate governance has emerged.

As Algeria is not isolated from the global environment, it has responded to these modern requirements by preparing the 2009 Corporate Governance Charter, which was initially limited to small and medium enterprises.

The objective of this study is to determine the compatibility of corporate governance according to the Algerian Corporate Governance Charter with the International Governance Requirements (OECD).

In this research, we find that the Algerian Corporate Governance Charter is largely in line with the requirements of corporate governance as recognized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in terms of concept and principles.
