The aim of the present paper is to study the relationship between the total quality management (TQM) and the quality of work life (QWL) in two companies of the Algerian public sector certified for ISO 9001: 2008.
100 employees participated in the study.
The results indicated that TQM has positive significant correlation with QWL.
The results also showed that TQM has positive significant correlation with the seven QWL dimensions (Health & safety needs, Economic & family needs, Social needs, Self-esteem needs, Self-actualization needs, Knowledge needs and Creativity and aesthetics needs).
Hence, a greater TQM implementation can ensure a higher QWL.
