Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to test the environmental Kuznets curve in Algeria, because it included a number of variables were: the rate of economic growth, energy consumption, population growth and carbon dioxide emissions.

During the period (1990-2015).

Study found that the lack of emotional turning point makes the application of environmental Kuznets curve (AKC) in the Algerian economy impossible.

Because the Algerian economy has yet to reach that high per capita GDP has positive impact on CO2 gas emissions.

But there is unidirectional causal relationship between economic growth and dioxide Carbon emissions in the long term.

and that the population variable is the first influencer in it.

In addition, there is a direct correlation between energy consumption and emissions.
