Abstract EN

Virtual university is one of the contemporary pillars of education in general and university education in particular.

Virtual university relies on synchronous and asynchronous communication between educators and learners.

A lot of countries have adapted this tendency to their education system due to its big advantages in providing new opportunities for many students who cannot continue their studies through traditional channels for some reasons.

Also, virtual universities provide opportunities to attract more students and this would contribute in serving local and international societies.

However, this cannot be achieved unless by building an influential infrastructure of information technology and communication which offers communication channels in addition to the regulatory and educational requirements that are relevant for this kind of education and universities.

The problem of the present study is to identify the concept and principles of information technology and its relationship in virtual university establishment, through a sample of computer specialists that was selected to test and analyze their responses to collect data by a questionnaire to serve this research objective
