Abstract EN

This study, entitled a comparative investigation of ‟medical errors ˮ in Islam and current law is an examination of the issue of medical error.

Such a topic is extremely important nowadays due to the rapid development in the field of medical science.

Research in medicine has made remarkable achievements.

They include recent medical treatments and surgeries.

Examples include plastic surgery and organ transplantation and so forth.

The increase in treatments that involve removing or replacing some parts of the human body has resulted in the rise of medical errors.

The study falls in two chapters; the first chapter provides a review of literature relevant to medical error; its definitions, parts and degree of severity.

The second chapter discusses the consequences of medical errors and the responsibilities that need to be taken.

In the end, the major results and recommendations are included to give a clear picture of what a medical error is and the responsibilities that result in Islam and the current law.
