Abstract EN

This study deals with four novels published between 2009 and 2016, written by the novelist Mariam Al-Ghafli, )Tawee Bakhita -2007(, )Bint Al Mater -2008(, )Neda’a Al Amaken - Khazeena-2013( and )Ayaam Azzagnaboot – 2016(.

It attempts to detect signs of privacy of women writing privacy in her novels, define its aspects, track the changes it has gone through, and explore the extent to which the novels interact with the feminist vision in her writings.

This is added to exploring how she describes the status of Arab women in society and how her style of writing novels has evolved in line with feminist criticism.

In her four novels, Mariam Al-Ghafli drew on many feminist issues through shedding light on the characteristics of the repressed female self, as revealed in the practices that demoralize Arab woman’s existence, and through production of a humanistic literature that supports women’s perpetual concerns.

The novelist does so without challenging or fighting masculinity, believing that each of them )men and women( complements the other.

Finally, Al-Ghafli not only highlights the problems of women in the Arab society, but also suggests many solutions to their problems, the most prominent of which is the optimistic propensity and faith in overcoming all her ordeals one day.
