This study aims to analyze the relationship between energy use and economic development in Algeria over the period 1971-2016.
By using co-integration Johansen test, Granger causality, and vector error correction model (VECM), we found a negative relationship between per capita GDP and energy use, and carbon dioxide emissions , and a positive relationship between per capita GDP and labor.
