Abstract EN

This research paper aims to highlight the most important effects of high global food prices on food security in Algeria especially food crisis 2007 and 2011 which left great impact on the determinents of food security in ALgeria ,where it was shown the main causes of the increase of food products 'prices and analysis the impact of its increase on international markets on food availability for the consumer, and production costs .in addition at the level of the country's budget and the size of its social transfers.The study came to a set of results assure the strong relation between the increase of global food prices and the levels of food security in ALgeria especially with the continuous weak on local production offer .
