This study is a part of the preparation of the third national communication of climate change in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and it aims to identify the extent to which textbooks are taught in the elementary level of climate change concepts.

The researchers followed the descriptive, analytical approach based on the analysis of the content of the textbooks regarding concepts.

The study sample consists of six books: three books for the first cycle (first, second and third elementary textbooks) and three books for the second stage (fourth, fifth and sixth- elementary grade).

Concepts related to climate change appropriate to the age of Elementary students are defined in 23 concepts, then the analysis of books in terms of including these concepts are in three levels: direct, indirect and irrelevant.

The results of the study found that the concepts of climate change appear in the books of social studies in a few percentages in general.

However, climate change concepts can be used in textbooks for social studies in the first stage of Elementary school.

The results revealed a significant percentage of 62% the second question indicates that the concepts of climate change can be used in the books of social studies for the second episode with a fair percentage of 35.4%.

The concepts of climate change were employed directly and indirectly from the total total 99 lessons; 64.6% of the lessons were on concepts not related to climate change.

The recommendations of the study were the importance of designing an educational unit that includes activities in climate change to be added to the books of social studies for the Elementary.
