Abstract EN

Constitute the scarcity of water resources in the Arab homeland a great concern limits the implementation of the plans of water development and service programs , has its impact on the welfare of the Arab citizen and productivity , health and environment, the level of water use has become a real criterion for determining the extent of the progress of society and its development.

Increasing interest in the development of water in the Arab homeland because of the lack of it and the urgent need in various areas of development, and is the rain water management through what is known as harvesting water from the optimal means to address the shortage of water in the Arab countries, when the flow of permanent water sources are not available and which , if available, shall be water body subterranean, then from an integrated and supportive of agricultural production irrigation system .

Water harvesting technique and claim a role in agricultural development in the whole Arab homeland due to the use since ancient times in the expansion of farmland in several Arab countries, which enjoy the rule of dry and semi-dry climate and lack permanent rivers flow.
