Abstract EN

This research aims to identify the modern Arabs efforts in protecting the Arabic language, in order to ensure its current and fluent use among the speakers as it was used by the eloquent Arabs, by making and developing dictionaries specialized in linguistic correction.

These dictionaries were classified differently in terms of their methods, their sizes, their approaches, and their objectives, intending to reduce the solecism, to embed and stabilize the suitable correct use of the Arabic vocabulary and syntax, in both spoken and written codes, by introducing the common linguistic errors, clarifying and stating its correction, supporting that by reasons and representation, depending on the Holy Quran, the Hadith, and other various basic linguistic sources which focused on the subject of solecism in our linguistic heritage; in addition to the most of the dictionaries that have preserved the Arabic vocabulary throughout the centuries.
