Abstract EN

This paper aims to evaluate the success of the development strategy of the agro-food industries adopted in Algeria since 2010 in improving the competitiveness of the branch and its contribution in the Algerian economy, especially in job creation and in gross domestic product and the creation of value-added and raising export capacity outside the hydrocarbon sector.

in addition its role in the realization of food security strategy and ensure its sustainability.

The study concluded that there are many obstacles that have prevented the success of the strategy and achieve their main objectives , and this lead to reconsider these constraints and working very seriously to find real solutions to them, to make the branch companies able to achieve the goals of The new economic model of growth(2016-2030).
