Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the waqf property and the efforts made by the state in order to include it in the SELA.

the ministry has set up progressive objectives to create a solid base for the development of the financial and administrative management of the waqf.

then, the endowment investment process come to open up the field for the development and investment of waqf properties in a modern and contemporary manner through their use in the form of financial instruments and mechanisms in helping to achieve economic development.

the study reached a number of results: • Waqf property is a process that combines savings and investment together.

it is the deduction of funds from current consumption and transforms it into investment in productive capital assets in society; • there is a close relationship between Waqf property and economic development on various dimensions; • the investment formulas on which the Waqf property is based to be included in SELA are compatible with Islamic law and a mechanism that will finance productive institutions of various types; • the current role of the investment of endowment property in Algeria is still far from achieving the desired objectives, but there are promising projects that may lead to qualitative transfer in this area; • there is a clear agreement on the necessity of the union to promote Waqf property and its inclusion in the Algerian economic system, as an alternative economic way to reduce oil dependence.
