Abstract EN

The religious programs are a part that holds the growing interest in the programming network of the Arabic TV channels.

Because it addresses many groups in society especially the widest one which is the young people.

A lot of studies have shown an increase in the interest of young people in watching this type of programs which made researchers wonder through the introduction of uses and gratifications about the patterns and habits of watching this type of programs by young people, in addition to the gratifications achieved by the watching.

And from that we have found a lot of results concerning this question.

The researcher have found that the watching is often unorganized in non specialized channels while they prefer subjects that affect their real social life and subjects that achievecognitive, psychological, spiritual and social gratifications, also the variables of the sex, the educational level and the social status form a difference in many habits, patterns, motives as well as the gratifications.
